Senior Producer/QC

Senior Producer/QC

Lighthouse TV ‘s Senior Producer/QC is a critical position designed to assure timely studio production, edit post-production, and show delivery to air and digital for our daily programming. The position has “day of “oversight of multiple recorded productions that are part of the Lighthouse TV/digital family of programs. You serve as the studio lead during these productions behind the scenes with occasional on-air appearance support as needed.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the senior team and assists by focusing on schedules and production timing and output.
  • Works with the show leads/talent and production team to develop and track against time of air production plan.
  • Focuses on the launch of new recorded programs during initial start up.
  • Oversees file delivery to affiliates, master control and partners
  • Works with Master Control to assist/assure automated playout and promo insertions
  • Takes lead on selected projects as needed by organizational demands and monitors QC of delivered programs
  • Oversees Digital Content Producer’s delivery of elements across social platforms
  • Anticipates bottlenecks, clarifies project priorities, identifies risks, and escalates issues to the production/engineering manager that cannot be internally resolved.
  • Clearly defines all workflows, communicates processes, and ensures all practices are being refined.
  • Provides regular status reports to senior management on project show progress and status.
  • Identifies the tools and technologies to help manage workflow and optimizes their implementation and deployment.
  • Ensures internal department workflow and tracking documents up to date and on time content delivery.
  • Supports the team on all integrations. promo extensions and proposals.
  • Works with Master Control Supervisor to assure smooth operations
  • Provide production support on day of recording both behind the scenes and on camera as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

This is a full time position. Work is generally in person and may be supplemented by remote contribution after hours when a critical issue arises.

 

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Strong television or film production background
  • Project management skillset
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Proactive, with a high level of organization
  • Promoting process improvement
  • Ability to communicate with production team members in a professional, television term related manner
  • Suggest best practice creative standards and editing techniques
  • Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Film, Communications, Advertising, or related field
  • 5 years of television or film production experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other project management software
