The Digital Content Assistant supports the ministry’s digital and social strategy to achieve growth and engage our audience.

• Knowledge and experience writing for digital and broadcast platforms
• Organize scheduled social post calendar
• Assist in managing social media accounts and responsible for creating content
• Responsible for working with the Senior Team to keep all digital platforms up-to-date.
• Responsible for the daily management of the website and all other assigned digital platforms such as mobile, tablet, social and third-party.
• Work collaboratively with show producers to create and promote content daily.
• Optimize stories, pages and sections for search engine optimization
• Track monthly analytics including standard web, advertiser, video, mobile and social
• Conceptualize and create new content areas on the website and manage others engaged in similar assignments
• Provide digital training and development for station colleagues
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or experience in a related field or 1 year comprehensive experience in digital media
• Knowledge of online content management systems (CMSs), such as WordPress and HTML
• Knowledge of additional web design/development applications such as JavaScript, Adobe Photoshop, and FTP is strongly preferred
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize supporting television production and exclusive digital content
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Strong sense of initiative and focus on continuous learning
• Knowledge of social media and SEO concepts and a rich understanding of all things digital including video
• Agree with Lighthouse TV’s Statement of Faith
