Production Manager

Position Summary
The Production Manager at Lighthouse TV plays a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and high-quality production, post-production, and delivery of our daily programming for both broadcast and digital platforms. This position provides hands-on leadership during studio recordings, oversees workflow efficiency, and maintains rigorous quality control standards across all content. As a key member of the production team, the Production Manager serves as the studio lead for multiple programs within the Lighthouse TV family. The role upholds our commitment to creating inspiring, mission-driven Christian content that glorifies Jesus Christ and fosters faith and discipleship.

 

Key Responsibilities
• Support the senior team by managing production schedules, timing, and overall output to meet broadcast and digital deadlines.
• Collaborate with show leads, talent, and production crews to develop and execute against detailed air production plans.
• Lead the successful production launch of new programs during their initial startup phases.
• Oversee file delivery to affiliates, master control, and external partners.
• Partner with Master Control to ensure accurate automated playout and promo insertions.
• Take ownership of selected projects based on organizational needs, while monitoring quality control (QC) for all delivered programs.
• Support the Digital Content Producer’s delivery of promotional and supplemental elements across social media platforms.
• Anticipate production bottlenecks, clarify priorities, identify risks, and escalate unresolved issues to the leadership.
• Define, communicate, and continuously refine workflows and best practices across the department.
• Provide regular status reports to senior management on project and program progress.
• Identify and implement tools and technologies to optimize workflow management and deployment.
• Maintain up-to-date internal department tracking documents to ensure on-time content delivery.
• Support integrations, promo extensions, and production proposals as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the Master Control Supervisor and Engineering to maintain smooth operational flow.
• Provide hands-on production support during recording day behind the scenes.
• Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the overall mission of Lighthouse TV.

Qualifications
Required:
• College Degree or professional experience in television, film or media production.
• Agreement with Lighthouse TV’s Statement of Faith and a demonstrated personal commitment to living out Christian principles.
• Maintain a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, reflecting His character in all professional interactions.

Preferred:
• Advanced project management certifications or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with modern broadcast technologies and digital distribution platforms.

 

Key Skills
• Production Expertise: Strong background in production, with deep knowledge of studio operations, post-production editing, and quality control processes.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and deliver results proactively.
• Organizational & Process Improvement: High level of organization, with a focus on refining workflows, promoting best practices, and implementing tools for efficiency.
• Communication & Leadership: Professional communication skills using industry-specific terminology; ability to lead teams, provide clear status updates, and collaborate effectively with talent, crew, and senior management.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software; comfortable suggesting creative standards and working with the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Problem-Solving: Keen ability to anticipate issues, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless operations across broadcast and digital deliverables.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work in-person primarily, with occasional remote support for critical after-hours needs in a full-time capacity.

Digital Content & Production Assistant

Position Summary
The Digital Content and Production Assistant supports Lighthouse TV’s digital and social media strategy to drive audience growth, deepen engagement, and promote our mission-driven content across platforms. This role involves hands-on content creation, platform management, and collaboration with production teams to ensure all digital efforts reflect our commitment to Christian values and effective ministry.  The position supports Lighthouse TV’s show production to create high quality Christian content.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge and experience in writing for digital and broadcast platforms to create compelling, mission-aligned content.
  • Organize and maintain a scheduled social post calendar to ensure consistent and timely audience outreach.
  • Assist in managing social media accounts, including creating engaging content that fosters community and spiritual connection.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Team to keep all digital platforms up-to-date, ensuring seamless integration of broadcast and online programming.
  • Handle daily management of the website and other assigned digital platforms, such as mobile, tablet, social, and third-party sites.
  • Work collaboratively with show producers to create and promote daily content that highlights our programs and message.
  • Optimize stories, pages, and sections for search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance visibility and reach.
  • Track monthly analytics, including standard web metrics, advertiser performance, video views, mobile engagement, and social interactions, to inform strategy.
  • Conceptualize and create new content areas on the website, while managing others engaged in similar assignments.
  • Provide digital training and development for station colleagues to build internal capacity for online ministry.
  • Provide video and/or audio production support to various in house shows and special productions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the overall mission of Lighthouse TV.

  • Knowledge of additional web design/development applications such as JavaScript, Adobe Photoshop, and FTP.

  • Digital Proficiency: Strong knowledge of online content management systems (CMSs), such as WordPress and HTML, with a rich understanding of social media, SEO concepts, and all things digital, including video production and optimization.
  • Content Creation & Management: Proven ability to write for diverse platforms, conceptualize new content areas, and create engaging social media posts that drive audience interaction and growth.
  • Analytical & Reporting: Skilled in tracking and interpreting monthly analytics across web, video, mobile, and social channels to measure impact and refine strategies.
  • Collaboration & Training: Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with producers and senior teams; experience providing digital training to colleagues.
  • Organizational & Initiative: Ability to multitask, prioritize between television production and exclusive digital content, meet deadlines, and demonstrate a strong sense of initiative with a focus on continuous learning.
  • Communication: Clear and effective written and verbal communication, ensuring content maintains a consistent, faith-inspired voice.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to evolving digital trends and ministry needs in a part-time capacity.
