Host of Deep Waters


Pastor Larry Burd is a native of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Houghton College (1970) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (1973). Over the past fifty years, he has pastored churches in Boston, Buffalo, and Bethlehem. Since 2016, he has been Pastor Emeritus and Visitation Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Easton, Pennsylvania, where he was the senior pastor for thirty-three years.

 

He hosts the weekly TV program Today’s News and Biblical Views, which broadcasts in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and parts of Delaware. Larry is a part-time Regional Minister with the Atlantic Association of the North American Baptist Conference of churches. He is the chairman of Share the Power, a ministry to pastors and Christian leaders in the Lehigh Valley. He is a board member of the WJCS radio station and Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Centers in Allentown, PA.

 

He has traveled and ministered to the gospel in churches and mission fields in 16 countries on six continents. He is married to his wife, Sharon, and they have four married children and 13 grandchildren. Larry lives with his wife in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and gardening.
